Another pet

A few days ago, we aquired a most unlikely pet. She's very cute, but she's a rabbit. A rabbit was just about the last mammal that I would have wanted to have for a pet. Not that I have that many things against rabbits, but I just don't have much of an attraction to them. They don't like to be held, and they have long nails to make sure that everyone knows they don't like to be held. They also are not as cute as rats and mice. Since I don't have the time to take car of any pet that we have, I'm not too picky about what pets we have. So we have a new rabbit. Her name is Shadow. For a very amusing story about shadow, see www.project7.rockthecross.com

She lets me hold her for 20 minutes at a time and I've never tried more than that. She never scratches me either. Every night we sit in the massage chair for fifteen minutes until it goes off automatically. I pet her and scratch her back, she loves it. Sometimes she gets so relaxed one of her feet falls and she just leaves it. I think in another week or two she'll just fall asleep in my arms.
As for the rat, maybe when you're in a normal unit and you have time to care for it because it definitely wouldn't be my responsibility. I don't like things that carry bubonic plague and wipe out 1/3 of the earths population at a time. Just kidding, I actually don't mind rats, but their tails wig me out. Its like its got a worm attached to its butt. NO! And I'm done writing now.
